Mt 2:11 " When they were come…..they worshipped him and opened their treasures…"

£635 per person ( Half Board) - Single room supplement £113

Itinerary

Monday 27 December. Fly direct from London on an evening flight to Israel's Ben Gurion Airport where you will be met by our representatives and stay overnight in Jerusalem..

Tuesday 28 December. An early morning check-in for breakfast and a rest before carol singing in the Shepherds fields in Bethlehem and a visit to the Church of the Nativity (The site of Jesus' birth and arguably the least disputed site in the Bible Lands.) Continue to nearby Herodian one of Herod's palaces before a visit to the Old City of David just outside the South Wall of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. In the evening a Christmas Celebration Party.

Wednesday 29 December. Descend into the Jordan Valley via the road that leads to Jericho-on the way you will pass the many Bedouin encampments that line the road. Cross the Allenby Bridge into Jordan and a visit to the very special Bethany (Jn. 1:28) where Jesus himself was baptized by John. This is also thought to be the site of Elijah's Translation into heaven. (An opportunity for baptisms here). Travel a short way South to the summit of Mount Nebo from where Moses viewed the promised land. A short drive brings you to the Dead Sea and an opportunity to relax in one of the Spa's that are on the shoreline. Time permitting a visit to Lot's Cave before ascending into the mountains along the majestic King's Highway. Arrive in Wadi Mussa for your evening dinner and overnight.

Thursday 30 December. A full day in Petra-universally accepted as one of the greatest sites on earth. The Red Rose City that was carved out of solid rock over 2500 years ago. It was here almost certainly, that the Magi collected the gold, frankincense and myrrh for their gifts to our Lord Jesus. Petra famed for its unbelievable facades, stunning natural colours and the breathtaking Siq (Canyon) and fantastic rock formations. (Chariots are available for those who find walking difficult- payable locally at approx. £20 per 2 person chariot.) Overnight in Wadi Mussa.

Friday 31 December. An early breakfast as you drive North to Jerash-arguably the finest Roman City still visible. Jerash has two great open air theatres and long columnaded streets. Jerash is one of the cities which formed what scripture refers to as the Decapolis. It is very likely that Jesus walked through this town on his journeys south from Galilee to Jerusalem. The west bank route was not popular at the time of Jesus because it meant travelling through Samaria. It would appear from scripture that Jesus also avoided Samaria apart from the occasion in Jn 4:4. " He (Jesus) must needs go through Samaria. AV" Travel back over the border crossing to Jerusalem for an evening meal and New Year Celebration.

Saturday 1 January. A walking tour of the Old City with some special additions. Staring at the Western (Wailing) Wall, continue to through the Suk to St Stephen's Gate (Lion Gate) - follow the Way of Sorrows (Via Dolarosa) to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre where you will go underground to the ancient Water Cistern and a chance to sing and sound like a heavenly choir. Contine to the Syrian Orthodox Church and the "Under Ground Upper Room" - a room with strong evidence for being the real Upper Room of Acts 2. In the afternoon a visit to the Garden Tomb for a communion service before travelling the short distance to Ein Karem and the Biblical Resources Centre-a truly special place.

Sunday 2 January. A free day to relax or shop and haggle in the Suk (Bazaar). Or why not visit Yad Vashem (The Holocaust Memorial-Entrance is free)

Monday 3 January. Following breakfast a transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your return flight home.
